The New Year's Post: Part 2 of 4

**I'm making the fireworks post Part 1 of 4. Hehehe**

Boredome is getting the best of me. So I Googled the list of movies that would be coming out next year (that's 2009 in case you got thunked on the head). Not on the list are movies such as Valkyrie, Bedtime Stories, BVH Chihuahua, Australia, Punisher, etc, though they'll be coming out next year. The MMFF pushed the skeds a few weeks forward (or was it back? someone correct this grammar issue!).

Beverly Hills Chihuahua? I don't know about you guys, but that one creeped me out a bit. Talking Chihuahuas?

Ok, that's too much deviation. Anything in bold means, "I am interested in watching this". If I bold it and whack it up a font size, it means, "O.M.Gee. I have got to watch this one!" And I'd like to apologize, I didn't have the patience to research all of the story lines of each. Come on, give me some slack, that's like a year's list of movies!! Supposedly, these are the "Biggest Movies of 2009". Hehe.

Decisions are prone to change once the trailers come out. :o

Feel free to look up the movies yourself, and do let me know if you find something interesting.

50: The Pink Panther 2 - teren-teren. teren. teren-teren-teren-teren-tereeeeeeeen. terenenen!
49: Friday the 13th - Oooh... A remake... A movie where teenagers get hacked. Texas Chainsaw Massacre already creeped me out. RrrrrrrrrRRRRR!!!
48: Red Sonja - Think the female conan the barbarian. Think Xena. Alelelelelelele!!
47: Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian - What... The first movie was fun.
46: Fast & Furious - COME ON!!! The movie that inspired so many motoring offenses in the recent age!!! Vrooooom!
45: Spy Hunter - You have a super-car firing stuff at terrorists or whatever modern villain you can think off. Mmmm... The videogame didn't get great reviews, so I'm not expecting much.
44: Nine - They said it was a remake/sequel of a movie entitled 8 1/2. I don't know what it is about, but the title kinda catches your attention.
43: Knowing - something about digging up a time capsule containing predictions of events that have happend and that are yet to happen. creepy.
42: Them - Who?
41: Ninja Assassin - Ninjas. 'Nuff said. Haha.
40: The Proposal - A romantic comedy about popping the question. 27 dresses and Made of Honor have made my expectations high for this one.
39: Planet 51 - Animated comedy about an astronaut who finds himself in a community of aliens.
38: The Box - Something about getting a mysterious box that could spell doom for you. Hmm.. The box sounds like an odd tool for spooky stuff to happen.. But well, that's what we thought about the television..
37: Underworld: Rise of the Lycans - "We can be slaves... or we can be... LYCANS!!!" Nuff said.
36: Creature from the Black Lagoon - Remake of some spooky creature who comes out of a lake. Give me jaws instead.
35: G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra - YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO JOOOOOOOOOOE!!!!
34: Fanboys - Star Wars fanatics attempt to steal an early print of the Episode I for a dying friend. Awww... That's sweet... I don't know if this is going to be serious drama, a comedy, or maybe both.
33: Inkheart - Mmm... Ok... I'll think about it..
32: The Surrogates - It's a futuristic world and humanity relies on drones to do all the outdoors work. Then one of the drones is "murdered", sparking a full-blown investigation into the event. Sounds like I, Robot. Ok, I'll think about it.
31: The International - The WB and the IMF are evil. Haha. Conspiracy theorists can go crazy on this one.
30: The Wolf Man - Well, we let the vampires have their fun in Twilight. I guess it's only fair for the werewolves to get the limelight as well.
29: The Spirit - "Get me a tie... And it better be Red!" Haha. My kind of costume.
28: A Perfect Getaway - You have a newlywed couple on their honeymoon. Now mix in a bunch of guys who want them dead. See what you make of it.
27: The Birds - Oh no... Another remake... And this time, it's that of the insane Hitchcock classic... When I saw the original, I was afraid that the maya birds would start divebombing me.
26: S. Darko - I have no idea what this is about...
25: Hannah Montana - Well, my kid sister likes her. And I'm the only one she could drag to a movie like this. So... I'm booked. Haha.
24: Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde's classic is now a movie!!! Hehehe.
23: Sherlock Holmes - Ok, so I over-doubled the font size. But come on! It's Sherlock Holmes! And it's being played by ROBERT DOWNEY JR.!!! Jude Law is Watson, by the way. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! So should I watch it? Elementary, my dear Wilson. I mean Watson.
22: Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs  - Quick and easy laugh. Why not?
21: Nottingham - Russell Crowe plays the role of that trickshooting rascal known as Robin Hood. God save the King!
20: Bride Wars - They're best friends... until they decided to get married on the same day. Hahaha.
19: 2012 - There's a Mayan prophecy saying that the world ends on the year 2012, and this movie is based on that. From the guys who brought you Day after Tomorrow and Independence Day. Err... Dos whut? anyone?
18: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - Aging in reverse. Interesting. Diagnosis? Hahaha.
17: The Lovely Bones - No plot details. But Peter Jackson's behind this one.
16: The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus - The Joker was his last "complete" role. This was Heath Ledger was working current project when he passed away. Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law share the lead role to fill in the gaps. I'm in.
15: Coraline: It's a Neil Gaiman novel turned film. I stayed away from stardust. I don't know why, I'm afraid to go near it. But maybe I'd behave differently for this one.
14: They Came from Upstairs: Err.. Something about aliens, but a bit like gremlins, laced with humor? Let me think about it..
13: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - Shia LeBoef, Megan Fox (she has really pretty eyes... sigh...), SOUNDWAVE, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee. BRING IT!!! Yeah, oversized the font again :p
12: The Taking of Pelham 123 - A remake. It's a remake of a supposedly influential film. Tarantino's behind it. Let's hope it's not a hostel.
11: The Informant - A black comedy based on agribusiness fixing (fertilizer scam). Sounds like a Burn After Reading. Hehe.
10: Inglourious Basterds - Jewish-American special forces working behind enemy during WWII. Nazi-shooting Fun!
9: Terminator: Salvation - Bruce Wayne, errr.. I mean John Connor, leads the fight against the machines. Woohoo!! I'm Batman! Oops. Wrong movie.
8: Monsters vs. Aliens - It's an animated film. This one I had to check the cast list. You have Kiefer Sutherland, Hugh Laurie, Stephen Colbert, and Reese Witherspoon. From what I understand, they all have superpowers, and there's this huge robot they have to whack. Hmm.. Ok, I'll bite.
7: Avatar - Sigourney Weaver and James Cameron reunite for another sci-fi flick. What could go wrong?
6: Angels & Demons: I liked this better than Da Vinci Code (the books). So maybe it'd be the same for the films.
5: X-Men Origins: Wolverine - So I oversized it. Got a problem, bub? *kashing!*
4: Watchmen: I'm a Marvel fan, not a DC fan (except for Superman and Batman), I'm not familiar with this Alan Moore work. The trailer looks promising though. So... Ok.. Go.
3: Star Trek: Beam me up Scottie. Sylar plays Spock??? HAHA.
2: Public Enemies: Christian Bale + Johnny Depp + the FBI? GO!!!
1: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - Looks like a darker Harry Potter tale this time around. But while you're waiting, may I suggest, "Potter Puppet Pals" on Youtube? :p

I don't exactly agree with the numbering. I'd probably put X-men on 1, Transformers on 2, Sherlock Holmes on 3... This would probably take much longer than I intended.

See you at the movies!
